Edinburgh Street known as the Ed Street is a bar, grill and sports bar with a pokies room in the Pukekohe area of Auckland. About The Edinburgh Street Bar 

This sports bar is open from 10 am on-wards on all weekdays. On Sunday and Monday it is closing at 9.30 pm, on Tuesday to Thursday at 10.30 pm, Friday at 1 am at night the next day, and on Saturday 1.30 am at night.

The Pukekohe fire station was originally located at the venue of the sports bar. The fire station was constructed in 1924 and the location of historical importance was renovated by the Hogan family who own the bar. The bar has a large courtyard beer garden which can be used for enjoying drinks or having meals.

The bar has gas fires for keeping customers warm during winter. There are four 65 inch plasma televisions installed in the bar, so that the customers can enjoy their favorite entertainment programs and also watch live sports in the company of their friends and family in comfort. Customers can enjoy live music also on occasions and some great happy hours. The bar has a good provision of car parking for its customers.

There are two separate bars on the ground floor and top floor, which can be hired separately for functions. Anyone interested in hiring the bar for a birthday function, office event, engagement or other function can contact using the form provided. For more than 8 members attending the function a set menu will have to be provided.

The Eats and Menu Items of Note

The all day menu is fairly extensive and includes side dishes like mushrooms, fried eggs, steamed vegetable of the day, garden salad and desserts. The entrees are garlic, blue cheese pizza breads, half kilo of mussels, scallops, crusted chicken. The bar menu includes nachos, fries, wedges, chips, prawn twisters.

The mains menu includes lamb shank (best in Pukekohe), battered market fish, pork ribs, rump steak, chicken parmigiana apple cider pork belly, scotch fillet. Salads available are duck salad, chilli squid, classic Caesar salad. The Ed street monster burger is a special burger (best in the area) and the other burgers are crispy buttermilk chicken burger, open steak.

Pizzas are tandoori chicken, pepperoni, bacon & prawn, margarita and meat lovers that are well worth a try. A wide range of wines like Sauvignon blanc, Pinot Noir, Pinot gris, chardonnay, Merlot, Syrah, Shiraz, Rose, bubbly wines from different wineries are also available to complement the food offered.
