The Good Union Cambridge is a bar and restaurant located at 98 Victoria St, Cambridge 3434, New Zealand. It is home to the Good George brewing in Cambridge. This bar was once the location of the Pink Church but was later taken over by the same people who are behind The Little George and The Good Neighbor so you now it’s gonna be good here both in brews and food.

The main objective of this bar is to provide beer and cider drinkers with an experience that is well worth their time and effort. It does its best to encourage its patrons to explore different types of beer and cider and to also show them how to enjoy it while having a good time in the process.

Food Menu and Beverages.

The Good Union Cambridge has several tasty dishes divided into different menu selections. The breakfast menu, lunch menu, dinner menu, function menu, and kids’ menu.

The breakfast menu includes coconut cream porridge, breakfast taco, southern fried chicken waffles, Kiwi fav, Good Union breakfast, Chia seed parfait, buttermilk pancakes, eggs benedict, fancy avo on toast, sides, and kids breakfast bento box.

The lunch menu includes salads, lunch mains, burgers, dessert, a wide selection of starters, sides, smoked pork, smoked beef, and smoked chicken.

The dinner menu is also similar to the lunch menu with the exception of a few differences in the selection of mains that are designed for dinner meals.

The function menu is mainly for people who are using the function area and includes platters, buffet and a set menu.

The kids’ menu has a Good Union Bento box that includes a choice of popcorn chicken taco, cheesy pasta, battered fish served with crispy fries and ketchup, vegetable sticks & hummus, seasonal fruit, and an ice cream sundae with chocolate or berry sauce. The menu also has several drinks for kids, kids’ hot chocolate, and kohu ice cream shakes.

There are several specials and events from Monday to Thursday and then Sunday. Monday is half price for kids night from 5 pm. Tuesday is quiz night from 7 pm. Wednesday is steak night from 5:30 pm.

Thursday is Throwback Thursdays with a 15 dollar special on dirty burgers and 7 dollar special on Good George brews. Sunday is the Good Union Sunday special with a 12 dollar special on dozen wings and 19 dollar special on Good George Jugs from 3 pm to 6 pm.

Amenities and Function Events.

The Good Union Cambridge has four main function areas available that can host all types of events. These are The Beer Garden, The Mezz, The Dining Hall, and the Alcove.

The Beer Garden area is the prime location of the venue and also the cornerstone of its day to day activities. Patrons can sit outside and enjoy the beautiful weather under the oak trees. It is capable of hosting up to 110 people seated and 300 people standing.

The Mezz area oversees the entire dining hall and also allows patrons to be a part of the crowd while still retaining some private space. The stained glass window is a great backdrop and lets in beautiful light especially when the sun is setting. It can host up to 60 people seated and 90 people standing.

The Dining Hall area has high ceilings and original handcrafted beams that seat well over the Mezz floor and the dining area. It is an excellent place to celebrate major events such as weddings and anniversaries. The dining hall area can host up to 60 people seated and 90 standing.

The Alcove area is a cozy nook located at the front of the dining hall which manages to catch the atmosphere of its surroundings while still retaining enough privacy. It can host up to 25 people seated and 50 people standing.
