The Otahuhu Club is a local community club in the Otahuhu area of Auckland in New Zealand. The club was originally founded on 24 November 1962 by Mr J R Hann and it was originally called the Otahuhu Workingmen’s club. It was originally located at the junction of Atkinson Avenue and Mason Avenue .
In October 2013 , it relocated to its current location at Level 1, Victoria Arcade, 435 Great South Road in Auckland. The club is an important part of the local community providing support, friendship and entertainment to its members. It strives to become the prime location for all social and sporting events.
About the Otahuhu Club
The club has a number of sports facilities for their members. It has three 8 ball pool tables, and competitions are held occasionally for members with an entry fee. There are about five dart boards for members to play a game. The gaming lounge has eighteen gaming machines with all the best pokies to enjoy.
Children with their parents must be older than 16 years to play a game of darts or use the pool tables and only those above the age of 18 can use the gaming machines as per the law. There are a number of live TV screens for members to watch live sports like the NRL or rugby. They can also place bets using the self service TAB terminal at the club.

Food and Menu Eats
The restaurant attached to the Club is called the Happy Cooking Cafe and takes pride in offering fresh seafood daily. It is open for lunch and dinner daily for typically three hours each. Snacks offered are fish bites, mussels, spring rolls, samosas, and fries. A wide variety of bacon, egg, steak, hawaiian, cheese and other burgers are available at a great price of about $5.00 – how could you beat that cost!
Sandwiches, sides like wedges, fries, garlic bread are also available. The main meals are the special of the days which is just $10.00, other items include (subject to change) mussels, fish & chips, chicken breast, a great sirloin steak (just $15.00), scotch fillet steak, mixed grill sirloin steak (best in Auckland) with the works ie. eggs, tomato, onions, sausage & bacon. There is a special menu for children, and desserts include ice-cream and apple pie.
If dining service is required for more than 10 people, best too call and book in advance to ensure the best experience. Members can bring their children to the Otahuhu Club, however they are responsible for their activities while at the club as you would expect.

Regular Happenings at the Club
Periodically functions and events are held regularly for entertainment. Housie is held on Wednesday and Friday at 7 pm onward. The RSA ode is held on Thursday. The bucket is drawn daily, with a meat raffle on Wednesday and Friday. A club function is held once a week, with the raffle fund raisers, happy hours, sweepstakes are also held often here.
Anyone above the age of 18 can become a member of the club. The club takes pride in the hospitality it offers and strives to provide a safe environment for people to socialize. The annual membership fee of the club is only $5 per year and members can also avail of the facilities of the other chartered clubs in New Zealand. The club is open from Monday to Friday from 11 am onward. On Sunday, the club is open from 2 pm on-wards but check with them for the latest opening hours.
The club has lift and wheelchair access for the convenience of the members. As per their regulations members are expected to show their membership card to get access to the club.
