The bar is located at 10 Cambridge Terrace in the heart of the central Business district (CBD) of Wellington in New Zealand. The site has a unique history, since earlier public toilets were located in the same place and it is in the middle of the road. The bar is located in the Te Aro area, close to Mount Victoria, Aro Valley and Oriental Bay. Ghuznee street and Wakefield street are in the vicinity. It is also close to Museum of New Zealand.

The bar was originally founded in the year 2004. In September 2018, there was a change in the ownership of the bar, and the new welsh owners were regulars in the bar, and took an active interest in the functioning of the bar before they purchased it. The bar is open from 5 pm to 3 am the next day from Tuesday to Thursday. From Friday to Sunday, the bar is open from 4 pm to 3 am the following day. Hours may change, see their website for details.

The bar has a beer garden with outdoor seating for those who enjoy their meals in the open. The bar and pub has a Welsh theme and decor, and green, white flags with a red dragon are used extensively to decorate the bar as you expect.

Welsh Entertainment a Plenty

The bar is taking great pride in preserving the Welsh culture and traditions. It is popular for its Celtic entertainment. Every Tuesday Celtic musicians are performing at the bar, and visitors are welcome to have a glass of beer and listen to the live music.
