The pub was owned by Stephen “Sooty” Moffett for 26 years till 2019. In 2018, he sold it to new management who took over the pub in February 2019. It is affiliated with the Thirty Liquor chain of stores which offer great prices on drinks and their logo is displayed prominently so you can’t miss them.

Since it is also a bottle store, it is able to offer beer, wines, spirits and other drinks to its customers at extremely low rates. It is also holding at times a wholesalers liquidation sale for beers and wine, so that the customers can get beer, wine at the lowest rates in town.

In the area, the pub remains extremely popular for its sports facilities. It has a large number of televisions installed all over the bar, so that customers can watch their favorite races and other sporting events in comfy surroundings.

For each major horse racing event, customers can pick their winners, and make some money if they choose the right horse. The pub also has complete TAB facilities, so that customers can place bet on their favorite horses for the races. There are gaming machines installed for customers who like a game of pokies.
