The Morrinsville RSA Club is a lawn bowls club, pokies gaming venue, bar, sports / social club, lounge and restaurant. It’s popular with retired and serving members of the armed forces and other locals in the Hamilton area. The club is located at 27, Studholme Street in Hamilton in New Zealand. About the Morrinsville RSA Club 

The club is close to the main street of Morrinsville, ideal location for community and family meetings. There is good provision for car parking at the club. The club also has a courtesy van which the members can book if they require for visiting the club to and from the local areas.

The club can be traced to the soldiers settlers association in Morrisville which was formed in 1917. This evolved into the Morrinsville branch of the New Zealand RSA in the year 1931. At present it has become the Morrinsville District Memorial Returned Service Association (abbreviated as RSA).

The aim of the club is to provide support and companionship to the returned and service members of the armed forces in Morrinsville and the surrounding areas. Earlier retired armed forces members did not have a great place to meet up.

To overcome this problem, the club premises were purchased in an upmarket area of Morrinsville. In 2019, the club has more than 900 plus members. In addition to ensuring that the traditions and past are not forgotten, it also tries to provide excellent facilities for all activities, and a pleasant atmosphere so that members can relax and enjoy themselves in comfort.

The club is open from 3 pm on Tuesday, 11 am from Wednesday to Saturday. The club is closed on Sunday and Monday. Members can get their guests and family members to the club for get-togethers and other functions which are organized very well.

Members of the club are expected to carry their card with them whenever they enter. If they forget their card, they can enter the club if they are signed in by another member. However the member who is not carrying a card is expected to leave along with the member who has signed them in.

Discounts are only available to members who are carrying the membership card, since the card is scanned. Members can sign in guests or visitors only three times in a short period of time. After this the guest or visitor is expected to apply for membership, if they interested in using the club facilities.

Members can book a table in advance though walk in customers are also welcome. It is suitable for groups and parties, since it has a provision for catering.

The Menu and Drinks at the Club

The Moorish restaurant is open from 5 pm to 8 pm. It has a wide range of foods like prawn bites, smoked salmon blini, beef meat balls, crumbed mussels, squid rings. This venue has the best steaks in Morrinsville. Buffet meals are available on some days at a fixed rate. The bar is well stocked and has a wide range of non alcoholic and alcoholic beverages on offer.
