Having began way back in 1889, the establishment has survived all that history has thrown at it. Being among the original clubs established in New Zealand, this club has the distinction of having a Permanent Charter. Membership at the club

The Palmerston North Cosmopolitan Club accepts members who are over the age of 18. Aspiring ones can join in a variety of membership plans. They include Intermediate, Associate, Ordinary and Dual Ordinary membership.

Intermediate membership costs $10 per year and is reserved for aspiring members between the ages of 12 and 18. Associate membership costs $30 every year and is ideal for people above the age of 18. This age requirement also exists in the Ordinary membership which has a $45 annual fee. The Dual Ordinary membership is designed for couples who are married, in de facto partnerships or civil unions. It costs $37.50 each per year.

Ordinary membership gives the most privileges to members. Therefore, if you are of legal age, it is the most suitable plan to pursue. The membership application forms for each category are available in the club’s official website. Simply download, fill them in and present them to the club offices.
