Food lovers living in Auckland will like Steamheads since it is a steampunk themed bar in Takapuna area of Auckland with a wide range of food and drinks. The bar is located at 335, Lake Road, Hauraki and it has lot’s of parking right close by.
About Steamheads Bar and Restaurant
Customers can choose from a wide range of craft beer, food, brews, and chat with their friends and others in a friendly atmosphere. There is food for children Brunch is also offered. The bar is closed on Monday, and is open from 4 pm on Tuesday to Thursday. On Friday the bar opens at 12 pm in the afternoon. On the weekend on Saturday and Sunday, the bar opens earlier at 9 am so that customers can visit anytime early.
The Drinks of Note
One of the main attractions of the bar is the extremely large range of beers, ales and other alcoholic beverages which are available at nice prices. Some of the different types of alcoholic drinks offered are IPA, pale ale, lager, sour ale, porter, brown ale. New ales and lagers are being introduced regularly. Additionally more alcoholic drinks are available in the form of bottles and cans. Among the ciders, rhubarb and apple cider, hand cider, apple cider IPA are available.
Other beverages offered from different breweries are IPA, lager, pale ale, German Pilsner, Smoke beer, sour ale, stout and sour goose. Detailed descriptions of the drinks and breweries are provided.
Wine lovers can choose from a wide range of white and red wines to complement their meals. The white wines include sauvignon blanc, chardonnay, pinot gris, sweet, rose and sparkling wine. The red wines include pinot noir, reds, cabinet sauvignon and shiraz wine. There are also a number of cocktails offered which combine cucumber, gin, absolut pure and other ingredients.
Tea and great coffee are also available here.
The Eats to Mention
The platters offered are ideal for groups who are partying out. They contain prosciutto, olives, pickle, sundried tomato, salmon smoked, sausages, or grilled harissa, halloumi with nuts, feta, dips, sundried tomato, pickle, olives. Bread, spreads, dips, tiger prawns, mussels, sliders are some of the entrees. Steak lovers can choose from rib steak and flank steak.
The main courses offers a large variety of vegetarian and non vegetarian dishes. Seafood lovers can enjoy the catch of the day. Chicken breast, pork loin, lamb loin, chicken burger and pork burger are other meat dishes. Mushroom risotto is also available.
The sides for the food served include chips with aioli, broccoline, vegetable medley, bean salad. The other salads offered are grilled lamb, grilled chicken and harissa spiced halloumi.
The desserts include cheesecake, chocolate tart, puna cotta, melted creme brulee, waffles with ice cream, ice cream with an espresso shot , fruit crumbles with ice cream, chocolate and bourbon cupcakes , white chocolate and kiwifruit mousse.

Need a Haircut?
One of the unique features of the bar, is that it has a barber area, where customers can get their hair cut conveniently in a variety of styles. Some of the styles for haircut are cutthroat black, barber cut, crew and buzz cut, skin fade. The barbers also offer beard stylization to those visiting Steamheads. Customer can also choose the hair styling combo they are interested in. A few beers, some food and a haircut – a days work done right 🙂
