The pub was opened on May 10, 2013 and is owned by the Trusts of Auckland. All profits from the pub are reinvested in the business or donated to the community in the form of grants, donations or sponsorships like the Trusts Arena or household giveaways like a fire alarm.
The pub has a number of large screen televisions installed for watching live sports. It has a function area which can be hired for birthday, workday parties, hens nights or other events. Either a portion of the venue with a capacity of 20 to 150 can be hired, or the entire venue with a capacity of 200 can be hired.
A non refundable deposit of $50 is required for hiring the venue. There is also a $150 booking fee, $200 security fee so that the security guard can monitor the event, and verify the id of those who are attending the event. A minimum spend of $1500 is expected when part of the venue is hired so it can be hired for not a lot of bucks overall.
